Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly analytical Logistics & Supply Chain Analyst for a remote contract role based in Pretoria. You will analyze large datasets, identify inefficiencies, and propose data-driven improvements to client supply chains.

Ideal candidates hold a quantitative degree, 3+ years of experience, and strong Excel, SQL, and Python or R skills with Tableau/Power BI for visualization. Remote work within SA is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field related to logistics or supply chain.
• 3+ years in logistics analysis or similar analytical roles.
• Strong data analysis and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Collect, analyze, and interpret large datasets related to logistics operations, transportation, and inventory management.
• Identify key trends, patterns, and inefficiencies within supply chains.
• Develop and implement data-driven strategies to optimize logistics costs and improve delivery times.
• Create insightful reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to understand their logistical challenges and provide tailored solutions.
• Conduct feasibility studies and business case development for proposed supply chain improvements.
• Stay abreast of industry best practices, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes in logistics and supply chain management.
• Assist in the design and implementation of supply chain models and simulations.
• Evaluate the performance of logistics providers and recommend improvements.
• Contribute to the overall strategy and development of our client's analytical capabilities.
