Placements24 is seeking an experienced Logistics Planner to join our remote team supporting operations linked to Stellenbosch. • Minimum of 3 years of experience in logistics planning, transportation management, or a related field.
• Proficiency in logistics planning software and tools.
• Strong understanding of transportation modes, carrier management, and supply chain principles.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with experience collaborating in a remote setting.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed logistics plans, including transportation routes, schedules, and resource allocation.
• Coordinate with carriers, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth execution of logistics operations.
• Monitor shipment progress and proactively identify and address potential delays or issues.
• Optimize transportation costs by analyzing routes, modes of transport, and carrier performance.
