Placements24 is seeking a meticulous Remote Logistics Planner to optimize transportation networks for operations around Durban, working remotely from home. You will analyze transport data to identify efficient routes and schedules, and collaborate with dispatch teams, drivers, and partners to ensure timely delivery at optimized costs.

The role requires a strong analytical mind, 5+ years in logistics planning, and proficiency with logistics software and route planning tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Research, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in logistics planning, route optimization, or transportation management.
• Proficient with logistics software and data analysis techniques.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and remote collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

• Analyze transportation data to design and implement optimal delivery routes and schedules.
• Manage and allocate transportation resources, including vehicles and drivers, to meet service level agreements.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to resolve logistical issues and improve efficiency.
• Monitor KPIs related to transportation costs, delivery times, and fleet utilization.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with carriers and third-party logistics providers.
