Placements24 is seeking an experienced Logistics Planner to join a fully remote team, overseeing inbound and outbound logistics and optimizing transportation routes. You will select carriers, manage shipment schedules, and collaborate with distributed teams to ensure timely deliveries and cost-effective movements.

The role emphasizes independent work in a remote setup, strong analytical capabilities, and a proactive approach to meeting delivery targets.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Logistics Planner, Transportation Planner, or similar role.
• Strong understanding of transportation modes, carrier operations and supply chain dynamics.
• Proficiency in logistics planning software and TMS.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule transportation activities including freight, fleet management, and third-party providers.
• Optimize routes and load configurations to minimize costs and delivery times.
• Select carriers based on cost, service and reliability; negotiate rates.
• Monitor shipment progress and address delays or disruptions.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and documentation.
• Coordinate with warehouses, suppliers and customers for timely deliveries and pickups.
