Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Remote Logistics Data Analyst to empower data-informed decisions across transportation, warehousing, and last-mile delivery. You will collect, clean, and analyze large datasets, develop dashboards, and deliver insights to optimize efficiency and reduce costs in a remote-first environment.

The role requires strong SQL and Python (Pandas) or R skills, experience with Tableau/Power BI, and a solid understanding of logistics concepts.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or Logistics.
Proven experience as a Data Analyst with a focus on logistics or supply chain operations.
Strong proficiency in SQL, Python (Pandas/NumPy) or R.
Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, Looker.

Responsibilities

Collect, clean, and analyze logistics data from multiple sources (TMS, WMS, ERP).
Identify bottlenecks, cost drivers, and improvement opportunities.
Create dashboards and reports to visualize key logistics metrics (delivery times, costs, inventory turnover).
Provide actionable insights to logistics and operations teams.
Define data requirements and KPIs for new initiatives.
Apply statistical methods to forecast trends and outcomes.
