Qualifications

About the Role

Our client, a globally recognized leader in e-commerce logistics, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Remote Logistics Coordinator to join their expanding virtual operations team. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to contribute to seamless global supply chain management from the comfort of your home, ideally situated within or near Centurion, Gauteng, to facilitate potential occasional hybrid meetups if required by future business needs, though the role itself is strictly remote. You will be responsible for coordinating shipments, tracking inventory, and ensuring the smooth flow of goods across international borders. Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage inbound and outbound logistics operations on a global scale.
• Track shipments in real-time using advanced logistics software and provide timely updates to stakeholders.
• Liaise with international carriers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to ensure efficient clearance and delivery of goods.
• Manage inventory levels across various distribution centers, ensuring accuracy and availability.
• Resolve logistics-related issues, such as shipping delays, customs holds, or damaged goods, proactively and efficiently.
• Prepare and process shipping documentation, including bills of lading, customs declarations, and commercial invoices.
• Analyze logistics data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for cost savings and service improvements.
• Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, carriers, and internal teams to ensure smooth collaboration.
• Ensure compliance with all international trade regulations, tariffs, and import/export laws.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of logistics processes and systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Business, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in logistics coordination, supply chain management, or a similar role, preferably with international exposure.
• Proficiency in using various logistics software and platforms (e.g., TMS, WMS, ERP systems).
• Strong understanding of international shipping procedures, incoterms, and customs regulations.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Exceptional organizational and time management abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate virtually across different time zones.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision in a remote setting.
• Reliable high-speed internet connection and a suitable home office setup.
• Must be based in South Africa, ideally within proximity to Centurion, Gauteng, for potential future engagements.
