Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a knowledgeable Remote Livestock Management Consultant to advise livestock producers on herd health, nutrition, breeding, and overall farm efficiency. This fully remote role leverages data analytics and digital platforms to deliver customized management plans and reports.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in animal science, veterinary principles, and modern livestock production techniques, with excellent communication skills for remote client engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Animal Science, Veterinary Medicine, Agriculture, or related field.
• 4+ years of experience in livestock production, management, or consulting.
• Strong knowledge of animal physiology, nutrition, genetics and health management for major livestock species.
• Experience with data analysis and interpretation related to livestock performance.
• Excellent remote communication and advisory skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote consultation on best practices in livestock management (nutrition, health, breeding, housing).
• Analyze livestock production data to identify improvement opportunities.
• Develop customized management plans to enhance animal health, welfare and productivity.
• Advise on disease prevention, biosecurity, and treatment protocols.
• Guide producers in selecting and implementing technologies for livestock monitoring and management.
• Stay informed about research, trends and regulations in livestock industry.
• Educate clients on resource efficiency and environmental stewardship.
• Prepare reports and recommendations based on client data.
• Facilitate virtual workshops and training sessions.
• Collaborate with veterinarians, nutritionists and other professionals.
