Qualifications

• Degree in Animal Science, Veterinary Technology, Agriculture, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of practical experience in livestock management.
• Strong knowledge of nutrition, reproduction, health, and welfare principles.
• Familiarity with livestock management software and data analysis techniques.
• Excellent communication and remote consulting skills.
• Ability to work independently with a diverse client base across regions.

Responsibilities

• Advise livestock producers on optimal feeding programs, nutritional strategies, and feed formulation.
• Provide guidance on animal health protocols, disease prevention, biosecurity measures, and herd health management.
• Analyze livestock production data (e.g., growth rates, reproductive performance, milk yield) to identify areas for improvement.
• Recommend and support the implementation of modern livestock management technologies, such as electronic identification and monitoring systems.
• Assist with genetic selection and breeding program strategies to enhance herd performance.
• Develop training materials and conduct remote workshops for farmers on best practices in livestock management.
