Placements24 is seeking a meticulous Paralegal specializing in Litigation to join a fully remote legal team. The role is based in Rustenburg but operates online, offering significant flexibility.

You will support attorneys by managing case files, conducting legal research, and drafting documents for court proceedings. The ideal candidate has 4+ years of civil litigation experience, strong organizational skills, and proficiency with case management software.

Qualifications

• Diploma or certificate in Paralegal Studies or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Paralegal, with a strong focus on civil litigation.
• Proficiency in legal research tools and case management software.
• Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, adapted for remote communication.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively in a remote setting.

Responsibilities

• Manage and organize case files, pleadings, and discovery documents for litigation matters.
• Conduct legal research using online databases and prepare summaries of findings.
• Assist attorneys in preparing for depositions, hearings, and trials.
• Draft legal documents such as affidavits, motions, and correspondence.
• Communicate with clients, court personnel, and opposing counsel under attorney supervision.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date case management system records.
