Placements24 is seeking a remote Actuarial Analyst to join a life insurance team. The role focuses on developing and maintaining actuarial models, pricing products, and delivering financial analyses to support business goals in a remote-friendly environment.

You should hold a Bachelor's in Actuarial Science or related field, progress toward actuarial designations, and at least three years of life insurance experience, with strong skills in R, Python, and Excel.

Qualifications

• Three years actuarial experience in life insurance.
• Progress towards actuarial designations (e.g., SOA exams).
• Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
• Proficiency in R, Python, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain actuarial models for pricing life insurance products.
• Perform complex financial and reserving analyses to ensure regulatory compliance and financial soundness.
• Assist in the valuation of liabilities and the projection of future financial performance.
• Analyze mortality, morbidity, and lapse data to inform pricing assumptions.
• Support the product development team with actuarial insights for new life insurance offerings.
• Prepare actuarial reports and present findings to management and other stakeholders.
• Stay current with actuarial standards of practice, regulations, and industry trends.
• Collaborate with IT and data science teams to enhance data quality and analytical capabilities.
• Assist in the development of experience studies and gain/loss analyses.
• Contribute to ad-hoc actuarial projects and initiatives as required.
