The role requires strong analytical skills, a background in Actuarial Science, and progress toward actuarial examinations, with experience in Prophet, GGY Axis, ALIS, Python or R. Remote work supports work-life balance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related quantitative field.
• Progress towards actuarial examinations (e.g., SOA/ASSA) with some exams passed preferred.
• 3-5 years of actuarial experience within the life insurance industry.
• Proficiency in actuarial modeling software (Prophet, GGY Axis, ALIS) and programming languages (Python or R).

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain actuarial models for pricing, reserving, and financial projections related to life insurance products.
• Perform data analysis, statistical modeling, and assumption setting using actuarial software and programming languages.
• Assist in the valuation of liabilities and capital requirements for life insurance business.
• Support the development and pricing of new life insurance products.
• Prepare actuarial reports and presentations for management, regulators, and auditors.
• Conduct experience studies (morbidity, mortality, lapse) to inform actuarial assumptions.
• Ensure compliance with relevant actuarial standards of practice and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with other departments, including finance, product development, and risk management.
• Stay current with industry trends, emerging risks, and advancements in actuarial techniques.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of actuarial processes and methodologies.
