Placements24 is recruiting an Actuarial Analyst for a fully remote role with a leading SA life insurer. You will price new life insurance products, build financial models, and review reserves to support strategic decisions.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's in Actuarial Science or related field, have at least three actuarial exams passed, three years life-insurance experience, and strong Prophet/ALFA, R or Python skills for modeling.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in a quantitative field such as Actuarial Science, Math, or Statistics.
• Minimum three actuarial examinations passed with ongoing professional development.
• At least three years' experience in the life insurance industry.
• Strong knowledge of life insurance products, valuation methods, and assumptions.

• Assist in pricing life insurance products with mortality assumptions and margins.
• Develop and maintain financial models for valuation, forecasting, and profitability.
• Calculate and review reserves for life insurance liabilities per regulations.
• Perform data analysis and statistical modeling for actuarial studies.
• Prepare regulatory filings and reporting requirements.
• Support product development with actuarial insights.
• Collaborate with finance, marketing, and product teams on actuarial matters.
• Contribute to actuarial software and tool implementation.
• Stay updated on industry trends, regulations and best practices.
