Placements24 is actively seeking a dedicated Remote Legal Advisor specializing in commercial contracts to support our legal department across South Africa. The role is fully remote, offering flexibility to draft, review, and negotiate a high volume of commercial agreements while mitigating risks.

The ideal candidate will hold an LLB, be admitted as an attorney or advocate, and bring at least five years of post-qualification experience in contract law.

Qualificações

• A Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree or equivalent qualification.
• Admission as an Attorney or Advocate in South Africa.
• Minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience, with a strong focus on commercial contract law.
• Proven ability to draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial agreements.
• Excellent understanding of contract lifecycle management and best practices.
• Proficiency in legal research and the ability to interpret statutes and case law.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage a high workload, and meet strict deadlines in a remote setting.
• Tech-savvy with proficiency in legal tech tools and standard office software.

Responsabilidades

• Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts, including service level agreements, vendor agreements, partnership agreements, and confidentiality agreements.
• Provide expert legal advice on contract interpretation, enforceability, and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
• Identify and assess potential legal risks associated with contractual arrangements and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including sales, procurement, and project management teams, to understand their contractual needs and provide timely legal support.
• Conduct thorough legal research on applicable laws and regulations impacting commercial agreements.
• Assist in the development and implementation of standardized contract templates and legal guidelines.
• Manage contract lifecycle, ensuring all agreements are properly documented, stored, and tracked.
• Advise on intellectual property clauses within contracts and support brand protection efforts.
• Support business development initiatives by providing legal input on new ventures and market entries.
