Placements24 is seeking a skilled Legal Advisor specializing in contract law to join a fully remote legal team. You will draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements across SaaS, SLAs, partnerships, and vendor contracts, while guiding internal teams on contractual terms and risks from anywhere in South Africa.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate various commercial contracts, including SaaS agreements, service level agreements (SLAs), partnership agreements, and vendor contracts.
• Advise business teams on contractual terms, risks, and obligations.
• Ensure all contracts comply with applicable laws and company policies.
• Manage the contract lifecycle, from initiation to execution and renewal.
• Identify and propose improvements to standard contract templates and legal processes.
• Conduct legal research on contract-related issues.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their contractual needs and provide effective legal solutions.
• Assist in the development and implementation of contract management systems.
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the company's products and services to provide tailored legal advice.
• Support other legal matters as assigned by the Head of Legal.

Requirements

• Admitted Attorney with a minimum of 4 years of post‑qualification experience focusing on contract law.
• Demonstrated expertise in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements.
• Strong understanding of contract law principles and related legislation.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks effectively, and manage deadlines in a remote setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts clearly.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite and experience with contract management software is a plus.
• Proactive approach to identifying and mitigating legal risks.
• Must be eligible to work remotely within Bloemfontein, Free State, ZA.
