Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an innovative and analytical Process Improvement Engineer to join a remote-based team. The role focuses on analyzing and optimizing manufacturing processes to boost efficiency, reduce waste, and raise productivity from a distance.

You will drive data-driven improvements, develop SOPs, and collaborate with cross-functional teams in a virtual environment to deliver tangible results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 6+ years of experience in process engineering or continuous improvement within a manufacturing setting.
• Expertise in Lean, Six Sigma (Green or Black Belt preferred), and other process improvement methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience working collaboratively in a remote setting.
• Proficiency in process mapping software and data analysis tools.

Responsibilities

• Analyze existing manufacturing processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.
• Design, develop, and implement new processes and methodologies to enhance productivity and reduce operational costs.
• Utilize Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles to drive process optimization and waste reduction.
• Develop and maintain process documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and training materials.
• Collect and analyze data on process performance, reporting key metrics and recommendations to management.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including operations, engineering, and supply chain, in a virtual environment.
