Placements24 is seeking a visionary Lead Software Engineer to build and lead a remote team focused on developing advanced Energy Management Systems (EMS). You will architect scalable software, guide development, and foster a high-performance remote engineering culture, shaping intelligent energy solutions from the ground up.

Ideal candidates bring 10+ years of software experience with at least 3 years in leadership, strong backend skills, and cloud expertise across AWS/Azure/GCP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of professional software development experience, with at least 3 years in a lead or management role.
• Proven experience in designing and developing complex, distributed systems.
• Strong proficiency in backend development languages (Python, Java, C++) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience with energy management concepts or IoT platforms is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and remote team management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of robust and scalable Energy Management Systems.
• Architect software solutions, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.
• Mentor and manage a distributed team of software engineers, providing technical guidance and fostering collaboration.
• Define and implement best practices for software development, testing, and deployment in a remote setting.
• Collaborate with product management and other stakeholders to translate requirements into technical roadmaps.
• Drive technical innovation and identify opportunities for leveraging new technologies within the energy sector.
