Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Lead Software Engineer with a focus on Microservices to join a fully remote engineering team. You will guide the design, development, and implementation of scalable, resilient microservices that form the backbone of our next-generation platform.

You will mentor engineers, drive architectural decisions in a distributed environment, and collaborate with product management and DevOps to deliver high-quality solutions at scale.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience with distributed systems.
• Experience designing and implementing microservices using Java, Go, or Python.
• Deep knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Strong knowledge of API design, messaging queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ), and database technologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of scalable, robust microservices.
• Define and enforce coding standards, architectural guidelines, and best practices.
• Mentor and guide a team of software engineers.
• Collaborate with product management, DevOps, and other teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Oversee deployment, monitoring, and operational aspects of microservices.
• Drive technical strategy and evaluate new technologies for the platform.
