Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Lead Software Architect to join their fully remote engineering team. You will define the technical vision and architecture for the company’s software products, ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability across platforms.

In this leadership role you will mentor engineers, set coding standards and patterns, evaluate new technologies, and drive strategic architectural decisions that shape the platform’s future.

Qualifications

• Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in software development, with at least 5 years in a Software Architect or lead technical role.
• Deep expertise in designing and implementing complex, distributed systems and microservices architectures.
• Strong understanding of cloud-native technologies, containerization, and DevOps principles.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills, strategic thinking, and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve the overall software architecture, ensuring alignment with business strategy and technical roadmaps.
• Lead the design and implementation of scalable, high-performance, and resilient software systems.
• Establish and enforce coding standards, architectural patterns, and development best practices across engineering teams.
• Mentor and guide software engineers on architectural principles, technology choices, and complex technical challenges.
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and frameworks to enhance the development process and product capabilities.
