Placements24 is seeking a Lead Researcher in Agricultural Biotechnology and Genetics for a fully remote role. The candidate will spearhead projects to enhance crop resilience, nutrition, and yield using advanced genetic engineering and biotechnology.
The role requires a Ph.D. with a strong track record in molecular biology, genetics, and plant breeding, plus leadership experience. You will publish findings, contribute to IP, and collaborate with cross-functional teams worldwide.
Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Plant Genetics, Molecular Biology, Agricultural Biotechnology, or closely related field.
- Minimum 10 years post-doctoral experience in agricultural sciences.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage research projects in agricultural biotechnology and plant genetics from concept to execution.
- Design and conduct experiments using molecular biology techniques, including gene editing and transgenic approaches.
- Analyze large-scale genomic and phenotypic data to identify genes linked to drought tolerance, disease resistance, and nutrition.
- Develop protocols for plant transformation, tissue culture, and genetic screening.
- Supervise and mentor a team of researchers and technicians.
