Qualifications

• PhD in Plant Breeding, Genetics, Crop Science or related field.
• Minimum of 6 years post-doctoral research experience in crop improvement.
• Proven expertise in experimental design, statistics and data interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Design, execute, and analyze field and lab experiments to evaluate new crop varieties.
• Develop strategies to improve yield, quality and stress resilience.
• Apply advanced statistics with R/SAS for data analysis.
• Carry out genetic research including marker-assisted selection and genomics.
• Develop disease screening and resistance evaluation protocols.
• Collaborate with breeders, agronomists and researchers to meet goals.
• Prepare scientific reports, papers and presentations.
• Stay updated on crop science advances and patent potential.
• Mentor junior researchers and staff as needed.
