Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Remote Plant Breeder to drive advancements in crop genetics. In this fully remote role, you will design and execute breeding programs aimed at developing new plant varieties with improved traits such as yield, disease resistance, and nutritional value.

You will work with a global team, using cutting-edge genomic tools and data analysis to accelerate breeding, contributing to global food security and agricultural innovation from anywhere.

Competenze

• PhD in Plant Breeding, Genetics or related field.
• 8+ years in plant breeding with successful variety development.
• Proficiency in data analysis, statistics and molecular breeding techniques.

Mansioni

• Develop and implement strategic plant breeding programs for key crops.
• Utilize molecular breeding techniques including marker-assisted selection and genomic prediction.
• Design and manage field trials, collect and analyze phenotypic/genotypic data.
• Collaborate with geneticists, statisticians, and agronomists to meet breeding objectives.
