Placements24 is seeking a Lead Quality Assurance Engineer to guide QA across our cloud-based software solutions. This fully remote role lets you lead a distributed team from anywhere in South Africa, championing automation, robust testing, and high-quality releases.

You will design QA strategies, implement automated frameworks (Selenium, Cypress), manage CI/CD pipelines, and collaborate with product and development teams to ensure quality throughout the SDLC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 6 years in software quality assurance with at least 2 years in a lead role.
• Proven cloud QA experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Expertise in automated testing frameworks (Selenium, Appium, Cypress) and CI/CD.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, or JavaScript for test automation.
• Strong SDLC and Agile experience.
• Experience with performance/load testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner).
• Excellent communication for remote collaboration.
• Familiarity with API testing (Postman, Swagger).

Requirements

• Strong expertise in developing and implementing automated testing frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Appium, Cypress) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript) for test automation.
• Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
• Experience with performance and load testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, especially in a remote work setting.
• Familiarity with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, Swagger).
