Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Remote Lead Software Engineer to spearhead the development of our cloud infrastructure in a fast-paced tech environment. You will design, build, and scale our distributed systems, lead a team of engineers, and drive the adoption of Kubernetes and cloud-native practices across the platform.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 8+ years of software engineering with a strong focus on backend and distributed systems.
• Proven experience leading engineering teams and projects.
• Expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant cloud infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain microservices architectures using modern programming languages and frameworks.
• Architect and manage container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
• Implement and optimize CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment.
• Ensure the security and compliance of cloud environments.

• Deep understanding of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Proficiency in one or more backend programming languages (e.g., Go, Python, Java, Node.js).
• Strong knowledge of infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, ELK stack).
• Excellent understanding of networking principles and security best practices.
• Demonstrated ability to design and implement complex, scalable systems.
• Exceptional problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in a fully remote work setting is highly preferred.
