Placements24 is seeking a Lead Mechanical Systems Engineer to spearhead the design, analysis, and integration of complex mechanical systems for renewable energy solutions. The role is fully remote, allowing collaboration with a global team on innovative energy projects.

The ideal candidate will possess a Master’s or PhD in Mechanical Engineering (or related field), 8+ years in mechanical design and integration, with strong CFD/FEA skills and a track record in leadership and remote teamwork.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Mechanical Engineering or related field with systems engineering focus.
• Minimum 8 years of experience designing and integrating mechanical systems, with renewable energy emphasis.
• Proven ability to design and analyze complex mechanical systems including fluid handling and thermal management.
• Proficiency with CAD/CAE software and system-level simulation tools.
• Strong leadership, project management and communication skills for remote collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, analysis, and optimization of complex mechanical systems for renewable energy technologies (solar thermal, wind, energy storage).
• Develop system architecture, component specs, and performance requirements.
• Use CFD/FEA and other simulation tools to evaluate performance and identify improvements.
• Oversee integration of mechanical with electrical, control, and software systems.
• Collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, and field operations to ensure seamless execution.
• Conduct technical reviews, risk assessments, and failure analyses to ensure reliability.
• Create and manage design reports, test procedures, and specs.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership within the team.
• Stay updated on renewables tech advances and industry standards.
