Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a visionary Lead Information Security Architect to design, build, and maintain the organization’s security architecture for a fully remote team. You will define standards, guide technology evaluations, and shape a roadmap to protect against threats while aligning with strategic business goals.

The role requires a Master’s degree and 10+ years in information security, including 5+ years in security architecture.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Information Security, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years in information security with at least 5 years in security architecture/lead architect roles.
• Proven expertise designing and implementing security solutions for cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP), networks, and endpoints.
• Deep knowledge of threat modeling, risk assessment methodologies, and security frameworks (TOGAF, SABSA).
• Exceptional analytical, problem‑solving, and strategic thinking abilities.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills to influence stakeholders at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Design and oversee secure, scalable, and resilient enterprise security architecture.
• Develop and maintain security blueprints, standards, and guidelines across technology domains.
• Evaluate and recommend new security technologies to address threats and business needs.
• Lead security architecture reviews for major projects, ensuring security-by-design principles.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, development, and risk management teams to integrate security.
