Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced HVAC Mechanical Engineer to join a fully remote engineering team. You will design, model, and optimize HVAC systems for energy-efficient climate control projects, collaborating with a distributed group of professionals across disciplines.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering and 5+ years of HVAC design experience, with proficiency in AutoCAD MEP, Revit MEP, and HAP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in HVAC design and engineering.
• Proficiency with HVAC design software: AutoCAD MEP, Revit MEP, HAP.
• Strong thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and psychrometrics knowledge.
• Knowledge of sustainable design principles and energy efficiency standards.
• Excellent communication and remote collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and specify HVAC systems, including air handling units, chillers, boilers, ductwork, and piping.
• Perform load calculations, energy modeling, and system performance analysis.
• Develop detailed HVAC design drawings and specifications using CAD software.
• Ensure designs comply with building codes, standards, and energy efficiency regulations.
• Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and other disciplines in a virtual environment.
• Troubleshoot HVAC system issues and recommend solutions for optimal performance and energy savings.
