A Master's in Electrical Engineering (Power Systems) and 10+ years of HV design experience are required; Pr. Eng. is desirable, with PSS/E, ETAP, PSCAD expertise.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Power Systems.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in HV grid infrastructure design.
• Proven leadership experience managing remote engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the electrical design and engineering for high-voltage substations, transmission, and distribution systems.
• Develop project scopes, technical specifications, and design criteria for grid infrastructure projects.
• Manage and mentor a team of electrical engineers and designers working remotely.
• Oversee the development of single-line diagrams, schematics, equipment layouts, and protection schemes.
• Conduct and review complex power system studies, including load flow, short circuit, and stability analysis.
• Ensure designs comply with IEC, IEEE, NRS, and other relevant standards.
• Collaborate with project managers, clients, regulatory bodies, and stakeholders in a virtual environment.
• Oversee procurement, review vendor submittals, and provide technical support during construction and commissioning.
• Identify and implement solutions for grid modernization and renewable integration.
• Champion best practices in electrical engineering and project execution.
