Placements24 is seeking a Lead Cybersecurity Analyst for a fully remote position. You will design and drive advanced security strategies, supervise threat detection efforts, oversee incident response, and mentor a team of analysts.

This role emphasizes leadership, collaboration with IT and development teams, and ongoing security improvement in a global, remote-capable environment. The ideal candidate has 8+ years in cybersecurity, with leadership experience, and industry certifications such as

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Cybersecurity, CS, IT, or related field.
• Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or GIAC are highly desirable.
• Minimum of 8 years in cybersecurity with at least 3 years in a leadership or senior analyst role.
• Proven expertise in threat detection, incident response, vulnerability management and risk assessment.
• Hands-on experience with SIEM, EDR, DLP and related security technologies.
• Strong understanding of network security, cryptography and secure coding.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive cybersecurity strategies and policies.
• Lead threat intelligence gathering, vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
• Oversee monitoring of security alerts and logs, analyzing to identify and mitigate threats.
• Develop and execute incident response plans, serving as a key contact during breaches.
• Manage and optimize security tools (SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, EDR, etc.).
• Conduct regular security awareness training for employees.
• Stay updated on cybersecurity trends and best practices to enhance security posture.
• Collaborate with IT and development teams to embed security into systems and apps.
• Prepare detailed security incident reports for senior management.
• Lead and mentor a team of cybersecurity analysts to foster vigilance and continuous improvement.
