Job summary

Sterling Staffing is recruiting a Junior Underwriter for a growing US-based financial and medical liens company. Location: Remote – South Africa. Working Hours: US/Pacific Time. Schedule: Monday–Friday | 40 hours per week.

Compensation: Approximately $8/hour. Training: Provided. As a Junior Underwriter, you’ll review and assess personal injury cases to help determine the strength and potential value of a claim.

Qualifications

• Paralegal experience, ideally with exposure to medical or personal injury matters.
• Medical coordination experience.
• Experience reviewing or evaluating personal injury cases.
• Experience reviewing medical records.
• Experience negotiating or working with personal injury settlements.
• Relevant claims analysis experience.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Good written and verbal English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review and evaluate personal injury cases.
• Analyse medical records and case documentation.
• Assess liability, injuries, insurance coverage, and other relevant information.
• Help estimate potential case and settlement values.
• Support approval and denial decisions.
• Work closely with internal Sales and Medical teams.
• Maintain accurate and detailed case assessments.
