Sterling Staffing is recruiting a Junior Underwriter for a growing US-based financial and medical liens company. Location: Remote – South Africa. Working Hours: US/Pacific Time. Schedule: Monday–Friday | 40 hours per week.

Compensation: Approximately $8/hour. Training: Provided. As a Junior Underwriter, you’ll review and assess personal injury cases to help determine the strength and potential value of a claim.

Formación

• Paralegal experience, ideally with exposure to medical or personal injury matters.
• Medical coordination experience.
• Experience reviewing or evaluating personal injury cases.
• Experience reviewing medical records.
• Experience negotiating or working with personal injury settlements.
• Relevant claims analysis experience.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Good written and verbal English communication skills.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Junior Underwriter, you’ll review and assess personal injury cases to help determine the strength and potential value of a claim.

You’ll work alongside the Sales and Medical teams, reviewing information such as medical records, injuries, insurance coverage, liability, accident history, police reports, and existing liens.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Review and evaluate personal injury cases
• Analyse medical records and case documentation
• Assess liability, injuries, insurance coverage, and other relevant information
• Help estimate potential case and settlement values
• Support approval and denial decisions
• Work closely with internal Sales and Medical teams
• Maintain accurate and detailed case assessments

REQUIREMENTS

• Paralegal experience, ideally with exposure to medical or personal injury matters
• Medical Coordinator experience
• Experience reviewing or evaluating personal injury cases
• Experience reviewing medical records
• Experience negotiating or working with personal injury settlements
• Relevant claims analysis experience

You should also have strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, good written and verbal English communication skills, and the ability to work independently.

WORKING HOURS

Candidates must be available to work one of the company’s US schedules:

8:00 AM–4:30 PM Pacific Time

OR

9:00 AM–6:30 PM Pacific Time

The applicable shift will depend on business requirements.
