Placements24 is seeking a Junior Legal Advisor to join a fully remote litigation team. The ideal candidate is newly admitted or has 1–2 years of post-admission experience in commercial litigation and will assist in all phases of litigation, from pleadings to trial preparation.

The role emphasizes independence, meticulous research and strong writing skills, with mentorship from senior lawyers and exposure to high‑level commercial disputes in a remote-first setting.

Qualifications

• LLB degree and SA attorney admission.
• 1–2 years post-admission experience in commercial litigation or related field.
• Strong civil procedure knowledge and litigation principles.
• Excellent legal research and writing skills.
• Proficient in LexisNexis, Westlaw and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior counsel in managing commercial litigation matters.
• Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda on various issues.
• Draft pleadings, notices, affidavits and other documents.
• Manage discovery processes, including document review and production.
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel and court staff.
• Assist in depositions, mediations and trials preparation.
• Organize and maintain case files and evidence.
• Monitor case progress and deadlines.
• Identify potential strategies and contribute to case planning.
• Attend virtual hearings and client meetings as required.
