Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly analytical Remote Retail Inventory Manager to oversee inventory across the retail network. This fully remote role requires extensive experience in forecasting, inventory systems, and cross-functional coordination to optimize stock levels and profitability.

The ideal candidate will lead remote teams, analyze data to forecast needs, and collaborate with purchasing, sales, and logistics to minimize stockouts and overstock while controlling costs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of experience in retail inventory management or supply chain management.
• Proven expertise in inventory control systems, forecasting techniques, and demand planning.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
• Proficiency with SAP, Oracle, NetSuite and MS Excel.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement inventory management strategies and policies.
• Oversee all aspects of inventory control including ordering, receiving, storage, and stocktaking.
• Utilize inventory management software to track stock levels and movement.
• Analyze sales data and forecast future inventory needs to optimize stock levels.
• Identify and address discrepancies, stockouts, and overstock situations proactively.
• Collaborate with purchasing, sales, and logistics teams to ensure efficient supply chain operations.
• Implement strategies to reduce inventory holding costs and minimize waste.
• Monitor KPIs and report on findings.
• Ensure compliance with company inventory procedures and safety standards.
• Recommend and implement improvements to inventory management processes and systems.
