Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Insurance Business Analyst to join our client’s team, operating remotely from their Sandton hub. You will bridge business needs and technology, analyze requirements, and translate them into functional specifications for system enhancements and new initiatives in the Gauteng insurance landscape.

The role requires collaboration with IT, documentation of requirements, supporting UAT, and driving process improvements.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required in business, IT, finance or related field.
Proven experience as a Business Analyst in insurance or financial services.
Strong understanding of insurance products, processes, and systems.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
Experience with requirements elicitation and documentation.

Responsibilities

Elicit, analyze, and document business requirements from stakeholders across departments.
Translate business needs into detailed functional specifications, user stories, and process flows.
Collaborate with IT teams to ensure accurate implementation of requirements.
Facilitate UAT and support end-users during system rollouts.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and system optimizations in the insurance lifecycle.
Prepare project documentation and status reports.
Support product development and strategic initiatives through detailed analysis.
