Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Remote Aviation Cybersecurity Specialist to protect critical aviation IT/OT environments. This fully remote role focuses on strengthening defenses, conducting vulnerability assessments, and incident response across enterprise systems.

You will implement security controls, monitor threats, and support aviation clients with CISSP-like expertise; preferred certifications a plus. A strong understanding of NIST/ISO27001 and network security is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• Extensive experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on network security, threat detection, and incident response.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and best practices (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive cybersecurity strategies and policies for aviation systems.
• Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and risk analyses.
• Monitor security alerts and investigate potential security breaches or incidents.
• Implement and manage security technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption.
• Provide cybersecurity awareness training to employees and ensure compliance with regulations.
