Placements24 is seeking an Information Security Compliance Officer for a fully remote role supporting a Polokwane-based client with global reach. You will develop and manage compliance programs, conduct audits, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to uphold data privacy and security standards.

The role requires 5+ years in information security compliance, deep knowledge of POPIA/GDPR/CCPA, and familiarity with ISO 27001 and NIST frameworks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• 5+ years in information security compliance, risk management, or auditing.
• Knowledge of POPIA, GDPR, CCPA and ISO 27001/NIST.
• Experience conducting risk assessments and remediation strategies.
• Certifications such as CIPP, CISA, or CRISC are advantageous.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the information security compliance program.
• Conduct internal audits to assess regulatory compliance.
• Manage external audits and coordinate with auditors.
• Identify compliance gaps and develop remediation plans.
• Stay up-to-date with evolving data privacy and security regulations.
• Deliver compliance training to employees.
