Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Information Security Compliance Officer to join our fully remote team in South Africa. You will develop, implement, and manage compliance programs to meet data protection and cybersecurity standards.

You will conduct audits, drive remediation, liaise with external auditors and regulators, and train staff on compliance matters. A Bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years in information security or audit are required.

Qualifications

• Must have 5+ years in information security, compliance, or audits.
• Strong knowledge of data privacy regulations and cybersecurity frameworks.
• Experience conducting compliance audits and risk assessments.
• Excellent analytical, reporting, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the information security compliance program.
• Conduct internal audits to assess adherence to policies and regulatory requirements.
• Identify gaps and create remediation plans.
• Liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies.
• Manage new compliance initiatives and policy updates.
• Provide training on compliance matters to stakeholders.
