Placements24 is seeking a meticulous Information Security Auditor to join the compliance and assurance team in a 100% remote role in South Africa. You will audit information security controls, assess regulatory compliance (POPIA, GDPR) and standards like ISO 27001 / NIST, and prepare detailed reports for management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Accounting, Computer Science, or related field.
• 3–5 years of information security auditing, compliance, or risk management.
• CISA, CISSP, or CRISC certifications highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of IT control frameworks, risk assessment methodologies, and audit principles.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute information security audits across systems, apps, and processes.
• Assess compliance with POPIA, GDPR and ISO 27001 / NIST.
• Evaluate design and operating effectiveness of data security controls.
• Identify risks and document findings clearly; develop remediation actions.
• Prepare audit reports for management and stakeholders.
