Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Remote Production Automation Specialist to design, program and optimize automated manufacturing systems from a remote setting. You will work with robotics cells, PLCs and SCADA, collaborating across engineering and operations teams worldwide.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in industrial automation, robotics and control systems, with hands-on experience in FANUC/KUKA/ABB robots and major PLC brands, and strong remote communication skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science or related field.
7+ years hands-on experience in industrial automation, robotics and control systems.
Proficiency with FANUC, KUKA, ABB robots and PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens).
Strong SCADA, HMI and industrial networking knowledge.
Experience with machine vision and sensor integration.

Responsibilities

Design, program, and troubleshoot automation systems, including robotic cells and PLC equipment.
Integrate robotics, sensors and control systems into production lines.
Collaborate with engineering and vendors remotely to define automation needs and select technologies.
Create detailed technical docs: schematics, code, manuals.
Perform virtual commissioning and testing before deployment.
Provide remote support and troubleshooting for automated equipment.
Evaluate new automation tech to improve throughput and reduce costs.
Develop remote training materials for maintenance and ops teams.
Ensure compliance with safety standards for automated machinery.
