Job summary
Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Automation Engineer with robotics and control systems experience for a fully remote role. You will design, develop, implement, and maintain automated systems for industrial applications, focusing on PLC programming, HMI/SCADA, and motion control.
Responsibilities include integrating FANUC, KUKA, and ABB robotics, coding PLCs, building HMIs, documenting sequences, and providing remote support.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, CS or related field.
- 5+ years in industrial automation with robotics and PLC programming.
- Proficiency with major robot platforms and HMI/SCADA software.
- Strong understanding of industrial communication protocols and remote work.
Responsibilities
- Design, program, and commission PLC-based control systems for industrial automation.
- Develop and integrate robotic systems (FANUC, KUKA, ABB) for manufacturing.
- Design and implement HMI/SCADA systems.
- Perform motion control programming and system tuning.
- Troubleshoot automation issues remotely and document solutions.
- Create technical documentation and sequence of operations.
- Collaborate with mechanical engineers and project managers remotely.
- Stay updated on automation tech, robotics, and control systems.
