Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Industrial Engineer to join a fully remote team in South Africa. You will develop and optimize production plans, manage capacity and resources, and leverage ERP and APS software to streamline workflows and meet targets.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Industrial Engineering and at least 5 years of experience in production planning and control, with strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills for effective remote collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or related field required.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in industrial engineering focusing on production planning, scheduling and control.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and APS software.
• Solid understanding of manufacturing operations, capacity planning and inventory management.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills; strong remote collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain production schedules to meet orders and targets.
• Analyze capacity, resources and constraints to optimize scheduling and allocation.
• Use ERP/APS tools to manage production workflows and monitor progress.
• Identify deviations, implement corrective actions and report performance.
