About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Industrial Engineer specializing in production planning and control to join their fully remote team. This position offers the opportunity to work from anywhere within South Africa, contributing to the efficiency of manufacturing operations without requiring physical presence at a specific site. You will be responsible for developing and implementing robust production schedules, managing resource allocation, and optimizing workflow to meet demand targets while minimizing costs and lead times. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, advanced planning systems, and the ability to analyze complex production data remotely. Your insights will be vital in ensuring seamless and efficient production operations.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and maintain production schedules and plans to meet customer orders and operational targets. Analyze production capacity, resource availability, and potential constraints to optimize scheduling and resource allocation. Utilize advanced planning and scheduling (APS) software and ERP systems to manage production workflows. Monitor production progress, identify deviations from the plan, and implement corrective actions promptly. Collaborate with supply chain, manufacturing, and sales teams to ensure alignment of production plans with broader business objectives. Generate reports on production performance, key metrics, and forecast accuracy for management review.
