Placements24 is seeking a talented Remote Industrial Design Engineer to join a globally distributed team. The role focuses on translating user needs into manufacturable, aesthetically pleasing industrial designs for cutting-edge products.

The successful candidate will work independently and with cross-functional teams, delivering from concept through to production while adhering to brand guidelines and optimizing for cost and manufacturability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design or related field.
• 5+ years of industrial design experience with a strong portfolio.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Rhino).
• Experience with rendering tools (Keyshot, V-Ray) and Adobe CS.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize and develop industrial product designs from sketches to 3D models.
• Create technical drawings, renderings, and prototypes to communicate design intent.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine designs for manufacturability.
• Ensure designs meet functional, ergonomic, aesthetic, and manufacturing criteria.
• Research materials and manufacturing processes to inform design decisions.
• Apply form, function, UX, and sustainability principles in design work.
• Prepare design presentations for stakeholders and clients.
• Support product development from concept to production.
• Adhere to brand guidelines and design standards.
• Optimize designs for cost, manufacturability, and ease of assembly.
