Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced In-House Legal Counsel to join our client’s growing manufacturing group. This fully remote role allows you to steer commercial contracts, litigation strategy, and regulatory compliance from your home office.

You will draft and negotiate supply and service agreements, manage external counsel, advise on governance and risk, and support business development with practical legal counsel.

Qualifications

• Admitted Attorney (High Court) with 6–8 years post-qualification experience.
• Proven experience in commercial contract law and commercial litigation.
• Strong understanding of corporate law and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Experience in manufacturing or industrial sectors is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate various commercial agreements, including supply, distribution, and service contracts.
• Manage and advise on litigation matters, including developing defense strategies and overseeing external counsel.
• Provide legal counsel on corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and risk management.
• Conduct legal research and provide timely advice on emerging legal issues impacting the business.
• Support business development and sales teams with legal advice on new opportunities.
• Develop and implement legal policies and procedures to ensure best practices.
• Advise on employment law matters as required.
• Assist in managing intellectual property portfolios.
