Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a creative and technically proficient Virtual Event Experience Designer to join our fully remote team. You will shape immersive virtual environments, craft attendee journeys, and align designs with client goals using UX thinking and digital event platforms.

The ideal candidate has at least 5 years in UX/UI or related fields, strong prototyping skills with Figma or similar tools, and a portfolio of virtual event work.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in UX/UI or related field focused on digital products or virtual environments.
• Proven experience designing user journeys for online platforms or virtual events.
• Strong UX principles, information architecture, and user-centered design methodologies.
• Proficiency with Figma, Sketch, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Portfolio of relevant design work required.
• Bachelor's degree in Design, HCI, Digital Media, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and architect the user experience for virtual events, including navigation, content delivery, and interaction points.
• Develop creative concepts and blueprints for virtual event platforms and environments.
• Incorporate interactive elements such as live polling, Q&A, networking features, and gamification.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their event goals and translate them into compelling virtual experiences.
• Work closely with technical teams to ensure feasibility and seamless implementation of designed experiences.
• Create wireframes, storyboards, and prototypes to visualize event flows and user journeys.
• Stay abreast of the latest trends and technologies in virtual events and digital engagement.
• Conduct user testing and gather feedback to refine and improve event designs.
• Ensure designs are accessible, user-friendly, and aligned with brand guidelines.
• Present design concepts and proposals to clients and internal stakeholders.
