Job summary

Placements24 is seeking passionate Online Math tutors for Grade 8–12. This fully remote role lets you tutor one-on-one or small groups via our online platform, helping students master concepts, solve problems, and build confidence from anywhere.

You should have a Bachelor's in Mathematics or Education, proven tutoring experience, and strong communication. Flexible hours and access to teaching resources support your work from home in South Africa and beyond.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field.
Proven experience in teaching or tutoring Mathematics, preferably at the high school level.
Strong command of the Grade 8-12 Mathematics curriculum.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and motivational skills.
Proficiency in using online collaboration tools and educational software.

Responsibilities

Deliver engaging and personalized online tutoring sessions in Mathematics for high school students.
Adapt teaching methods to meet the individual learning needs and pace of each student.
Explain complex mathematical concepts clearly and concisely, using effective analogies and examples.
Assist students with homework, assignments, and exam preparation.
Track student progress and provide regular feedback to students and parents/guardians.
Utilize the provided online tutoring platform and tools effectively.
