Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly motivated Online Mathematics Tutor to provide exceptional virtual academic support. This fully remote role lets you set your own hours and work from anywhere with a reliable internet connection, helping students build confidence and master algebra, geometry, calculus, and statistics.

You will tailor learning plans, explain concepts clearly, track progress, and maintain records on the platform.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
• A teaching qualification or prior tutoring experience is highly advantageous.
• Proven ability to explain mathematical concepts clearly and effectively to diverse learners.
• Proficiency in using online collaboration tools, video conferencing software, and digital whiteboards.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with a patient and encouraging demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one and small group online tutoring sessions in various mathematics subjects, including algebra, geometry, calculus, and statistics.
• Develop individualized learning plans based on student needs, academic goals, and learning styles.
• Explain complex mathematical concepts in a clear, concise, and understandable manner, using virtual tools and resources effectively.
• Track student progress, provide regular feedback to students and parents/guardians, and adjust tutoring strategies as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions, student performance, and communication logs via the online platform.
