Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Remote Health & Safety Officer to support projects across Gauteng and beyond. The role focuses on developing, implementing, and monitoring comprehensive H&S programs from a remote location to ensure compliance with SA legislation and industry best practices.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Health & Safety, preferably in construction.
• Experience in developing and implementing H&S management systems.
• In-depth knowledge of South African occupational health and safety legislation.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety policies across all projects.
• Conduct remote risk assessments, hazard analyses, and safety audits.
• Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions.
• Provide safety training and guidance virtually to site teams and management.
• Ensure compliance with legislation, regulations, and client requirements.
• Maintain records of inspections, training, incidents and compliance.
