Placements24 in South Africa is seeking a highly motivated Remote Global Logistics Coordinator to manage international shipments from a remote location within the country. You will coordinate freight, manage documentation, and liaise with carriers, brokers, and clients worldwide to ensure seamless transit.

The role requires deep knowledge of international trade regulations, excellent communication, and the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, remote setup.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in international logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain management.
• Experience coordinating global shipments via multiple transport modes.
• In-depth knowledge of Incoterms and customs procedures.
• Proficient in logistics software and tracking technologies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication across cultures and time zones.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, SCM, International Business, or related field (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate end-to-end international inbound and outbound shipments (air, sea, and land).
• Liaise with shipping lines, carriers, brokers, and warehouses globally.
• Prepare shipping documents: bills of lading, declarations, invoices, and origin certificates.
• Monitor shipments in real-time and provide updates to clients and stakeholders.
• Resolve transit issues, delays, or discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with trade regulations and customs requirements.
• Provide quotes and logistics solutions with sales/ops teams.
• Maintain accurate shipment records for reporting and auditing.
• Contribute to process improvements and cost savings.
• Manage communications across time zones.
