Job summary

Placements24 seeks a highly motivated Remote Aviation Compliance Officer to join a global leader in aviation services. You will monitor, audit, and advise on compliance with ICAO, SA-CARs, EASA, FAA from anywhere in South Africa, reporting to the Compliance team.

Strong regulatory knowledge and interpretation skills are essential. The role emphasizes remote work, independent management of priorities, and delivering clear reports to management and authorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Law, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear and concise reports.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote setting.
• Proficiency in relevant compliance management software is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess compliance with aviation regulations (ICAO, SA-CARs, EASA, FAA).
• Develop and implement compliance programs and policies to ensure regulatory adherence.
• Conduct remote audits and assessments of procedures, safety systems, and documentation.
• Investigate compliance issues, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
• Prepare comprehensive compliance reports for management and regulatory authorities.
• Provide guidance and training to employees on regulatory requirements and best practices.
• Stay updated on changes in aviation legislation and industry standards.
• Maintain accurate records of compliance activities and audit findings.
• Liaise with internal departments and external regulatory bodies on compliance matters.
• Promote a strong culture of compliance and ethical conduct.
