Placements24 seeks a highly proficient Bioinformatics Analyst to join our remote-first research division. You will analyze genomic and transcriptomic data, applying advanced computational methods to drive discoveries in molecular biology and disease research.

Collaborate with a global team of scientists, develop robust pipelines, perform statistical analyses, and generate clear visualizations and reports for research findings.

Formación

• Master's or PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Statistics, or related field.
• Experience analyzing large-scale genomic and transcriptomic datasets.
• Proficiency in Python or R and bioinformatics tools/packages.
• Strong statistics knowledge for biological data analysis.
• Experience with command-line interface and high-performance computing environments.

Responsabilidades

• Process and analyze next-generation sequencing data (e.g., RNA-Seq, WGS, WES).
• Develop and implement robust bioinformatics pipelines for data quality control and analysis.
• Perform statistical analyses to identify differentially expressed genes, genetic variants, and pathways.
• Collaborate with bench scientists to design experiments and interpret biological implications of data.
• Generate clear and concise visualizations and reports for research findings.
